This document contains a collection of records related to a UFO sighting reported on December 6, 1966, in Holly Hill, Florida. The primary witness, a 15-year-old male who identified himself as an amateur UFO researcher, reported observing an object at approximately 9:00 P.M. while waiting for a ride home from a scout meeting. The witness described the object as a solid, disc-shaped craft with a dome that appeared white at first, then changed colors to red, blue, and white. The witness noted that the object hovered, split into multiple parts, and eventually fell and rose above the horizon before disappearing. The witness reported that there was no sound associated with the object. The Air Force, through the Foreign Technology Division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, reviewed the initial report and concluded that the data was insufficient for a scientific evaluation. A letter dated April 26, 1967, from Colonel James C. Manatt, requested that the witness complete an FTD Form 164 to provide more detailed information. The file also includes a newspaper clipping from the Daytona Beach Evening News dated December 8, 1966, which mentions two other reports of UFOs in the area on the same night, involving Walter and Bill Woodruff, and Mike Pruitt.
