Privacy Policy
The short version
UFOScans.com does not track you. We set no first-party cookies, run no analytics scripts, and collect no personal information. The only cookies on this site come from Google AdSense, which funds the archive.
What we collect — nothing
UFOScans.com does not use registration, contact forms, newsletter sign-ups, or any mechanism that would collect your name, email address, or other personal data. There are no accounts, no log-ins, and no user profiles.
Server logs
Like every web server, our server automatically records standard access logs: the page requested, the time, the HTTP status code, and your IP address. These logs are processed locally using GoAccess to produce aggregate traffic statistics (which pages are visited, which countries visitors come from). Raw logs are not shared with any third party and are retained only as long as operationally necessary. No persistent user profiles are built from log data.
Google AdSense
UFOScans.com displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. These are third-party cookies set by Google, not by UFOScans.com.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings, or by visiting aboutads.info. For more information on how Google uses data when you use our site, see How Google uses information from sites that use our services.
Third-party links
This site links to external resources (government archives, The Black Vault, etc.). We have no control over the privacy practices of those sites and recommend you review their policies separately.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights regarding your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because UFOScans.com collects no personal data directly, there is in practice nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete.
For data held by Google (via AdSense), please use Google's data and privacy tools.
