THE UFOs AND HISTORY: Reflections on a programme of possible research

The second article, by Gordon Creighton, focuses on the persistent feature of light beams associated with UFOs. Creighton describes how these beams, often coherent or 'tubular,' are used to probe the countryside and can have physiological effects on humans and animals, including causing animals to become entranced and levitating humans. He provides specific case examples, including a 1968 sighting in Minas Gerais, Brazil, involving Ubaldo Rosas, and a 1971 sighting in Lachapelle, France, which was investigated by the French group G.E.P.A. and the local Gendarmerie. The document emphasizes the need for systematic research into these phenomena, moving beyond mere speculation to understand the underlying infrastructure of the UFO presence.
