On November 9, 1979, while working in Dechmont Woods, Taylor encountered a large, grey, Saturn-shaped object resting on the ground. He reported that two smaller spheres with spikes emerged from the object and moved toward him, resulting in a 'wooshing' sound, a strong smell, and a sensation of being pulled by his trousers. Taylor subsequently lost consciousness. Upon regaining awareness, he found the object gone and himself in pain, with physical injuries to his chin and leg.
