This document details a UFO sighting reported by a military firing range controller at the Bardenas Reales range in Navarra, Spain, on December 25, 1980. At 22:05 local time, the witness observed an unidentified flying object at an altitude of approximately 2,000 to 3,000 feet. The object was described as having a large central body equipped with a high-power retropropulsion system, accompanied by two or three smaller bodies flying in formation. The object maintained a heading of 020° and traveled at a speed comparable to a commercial aircraft. As the object disappeared behind mountains, the witness noted that it left a significant smoke trail, which was visible due to the moonlight and appeared much wider than the trail typically left by a commercial plane. The report was initially classified as confidential but was later declassified by the Mando Operativo Aéreo on November 2, 1995.
