Project 10073 Record — UFO Observation, 27 Jan 1968

This document contains the records of a UFO sighting reported by a civilian in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, on January 27, 1968. The witness, a fourteen-year-old, reported observing two objects that appeared similar to 'hub caps' traveling westward for approximately five minutes before disappearing behind a building. The witness described the objects as bright white, blinking on and off, and moving quickly without sound. The witness claimed to have seen similar phenomena on several previous occasions, specifically citing dates in September, November, and December of 1967. The Air Force, through the Foreign Technology Division and the Aerial Phenomena Office (Project Blue Book), attempted to investigate the report by sending the witness an AF Form 117 questionnaire. The witness initially delayed returning the form, citing schoolwork, but eventually provided a detailed account and sketches. The Air Force ultimately classified the report as an 'UNRELIABLE REPORT,' noting the witness's history of multiple prior sightings and the lack of sufficient information for a scientific investigation.
