The file includes a formal letter from Major Hector Quintanilla, Jr., Chief of the Aerial Phenomena Office, addressed to a witness, requesting that they complete an AF Form 117 to provide details of the event. The witness, who identified themselves as having an interest in flying saucers and conducting research on the subject, claimed that they, along with their brother and cousin, observed an object on the ground while sleeping in their aunt's backyard. The witness described the object as being approximately 12 feet long with a light at each end. They stated that the object disappeared as the witnesses approached within 25 feet of it. The Air Force categorized the report as an 'UNRELIABLE REPORT' and noted that the observer had submitted another case for the same date. As of May 28, 1968, the requested additional information had not been received by the Aerial Phenomena Office.
