PROJECT 10073 RECORD — Furlong, Penna. — 21 Nov. 66

On November 21, 1966, at approximately 6:00 P.M., a civilian witness in Furlong, Pennsylvania, observed a lighted, flat, and circular object in the sky. The witness, who was outside with their dogs at the time, described the object as moving quickly across the sky over Doylestown, traveling south along the route of 202. The witness noted that the object was visible for only about one second and appeared to be roughly the size of an airplane flying at a similar altitude. There was a visible luminescence surrounding the object. The witness reported that no other airplanes were in the sky at the time and that their dogs showed no reaction to the event. The witness contacted the 'Intelligencer' newspaper but was informed that no other reports had been received. The witness subsequently submitted a report to the U.S. Naval Air Station in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. The official conclusion recorded under Project 10073 is that the sighting was an 'Astro(meteor)' and that the description is consistent with a meteor observation.
