This document is a Project Blue Book record concerning a sighting reported by a civilian witness on 30 March 1966, near Lewisburg, Indiana. The witness, a woman accompanied by her children, reported observing a single, football-shaped object that appeared to be the size of a softball initially, growing to the size of a beachball as it approached. The object's color shifted from orange-reddish to a blue-white, fluorescent hue. The witness reported a pulsating sound that increased in frequency and volume as the object neared, noting that the sound was audible through the car's radio and speaker system. The object maneuvered rapidly and smoothly, descending toward the car, which caused the witness to stop the vehicle out of fear of a collision or falling debris. The object then increased its altitude and maintained a position above and slightly in front of the car before eventually disappearing in a climbing course toward the east. The witness, who was described as a hospital clerk, stated that she had previously been a skeptic regarding UFOs but was convinced she had witnessed something unusual.
