Disc-Shaped Object - Langley, BC - Summer, 1965

This document is a personal account from Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Petrie regarding a UFO sighting that occurred in the late summer or early fall of 1965, south of Vancouver, British Columbia. The witnesses were driving from White Rock to Langley when their car radiator boiled over. While stopped, they observed a large, disc-shaped object hovering over a farmer's field. Upon exiting the vehicle, the witnesses noted the object began moving toward them, prompting them to flee in their car. The object followed their vehicle for approximately five miles at tree-top level, matching their speed even as they accelerated. The witnesses reported that the object emitted a very high-pitched, unique sound and featured bright, rapidly blinking middle lights that appeared to blend together. The object eventually vanished while the witnesses were still watching it. The following morning, the author discovered that their father had also witnessed the same object while he was at the top of a hill with a client, while the authors were at the bottom. The report includes a rough sketch of the object and notes that the authors were inspired to document their experience after reading the book 'Beyond Earth – man's contact with UFO's' by Ralph and Judy Blum.
