Project 10073 Record Card — Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, 13 May 1958

This document is a Project 10073 record card and associated teletype report detailing a sighting of two unidentified objects over Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, on May 13, 1958. Two civilian witnesses, aged 18 and 19, observed the objects at approximately 2200 CDT. The witnesses described the objects as round, white, and approximately the size of a half-dollar, each featuring a red light on top. The objects were flying in a tight formation, one behind the other, at an estimated altitude of 1,000 to 2,000 feet. The sighting lasted for one minute and thirty seconds, during which the objects traveled from the west and disappeared over the horizon in the east. The witnesses reported no sound during the observation. Weather conditions at the time were clear with no wind and a temperature between 55 and 60 degrees. The report was filed by the Commander of the 2473rd Air Reserve Flying Center in Milwaukee. The official conclusion reached by the evaluating authorities was that the objects were likely a multi-engine aircraft flying in such a specific position that only the right wing tip lights were visible to the observers on the ground.
