Information Report: Sighting of Unconventional Flying Object

This document is a Central Intelligence Agency Information Report dated 8 November 1955, detailing a sighting of an unconventional flying object that occurred on 4 October 1955. The report describes an incident observed by a party traveling by train. According to the witness, the object was first spotted at approximately 6:00 o'clock in the evening during twilight. The witness described the object as a shadowy form that rose vertically from the ground. It featured two sources of light, one on top and one on the perimeter, which produced a glow similar to an aircraft engine exhaust. The object appeared to spin like a pinwheel. After reaching an altitude of 10-15 degrees above the horizon, the object remained fixed for a moment before moving at a tremendous speed, passing over the train. The witness noted that the object did not seem to change size as it approached. The report mentions that no sound was heard over the noise of the train. A second sighting is described later in the document, where a witness reported seeing two red eyes or lights that appeared to be moving vertically. This second object also had a reddish glow but did not appear to project a beam. The report notes that the witnesses did not discuss the matter further until five minutes later.
