Memorandum for the Record: Interview regarding aerial sighting

This memorandum documents an interview with an individual who witnessed an aerial phenomenon while riding on a train. The witness, who was traveling with three others, observed what appeared to be a greenish-yellow, round object through a window. After discussing it with his companions, a second object appeared, and all parties watched them. The objects were described as ascending at a steep angle, similar to a Fourth of July rocket, but without any rocket trail, smoke, or noise. The witness estimated the objects were between 600 and 800 feet above the earth. He noted that the objects seemed to be whirling or tumbling upward. The witness mentioned that other passengers claimed to see lights on the objects and suggested their eyes were better than his. The witness later stated that he did not see anything to indicate the presence of a large airbase in the region, noting that he had passed several airbases elsewhere and no attempt was made to conceal them. He also remarked that he had never seen a jet airplane take off at night, but if the objects were jet airplanes, they climbed surprisingly rapidly.
