AVISTAMIENTO DE FENOMENOS EXTRAÑOS (EXPEDIENTES OVNI) - EVA-5 JUL 94

This document is a declassified intelligence file (EVA-5 JUL 94) compiled by the Central Library of the Spanish Air Force (BCEA) under the direction of the Air Combat Command (MACOM). The file was initiated following a July 1994 request (MSGID 707-C) from the Air Combat Command to various military units, including the Air Surveillance Squadrons (EVA), to recover and organize information regarding UFO sightings that had been publicly reported in the media. The command sought to verify if the Air Force possessed internal records of these events to address public perceptions that the military was withholding information. The file contains a summary of various sightings reported between 1965 and 1986 across multiple locations in Spain, including Constantina, Alcoy, Granada, Morón, Talavera la Real, Jerez, Tablada, and San Javier. These reports include radar detections, visual observations by pilots and ground personnel, and instances of physical traces or radio interference. The document concludes with a formal proposal dated May 7, 1998, to declassify the material, stating that there were no longer any aspects that necessitated maintaining its 'classified' status.
