AVISTAMIENTO DE FENOMENOS EXTRAÑOS (EXPEDIENTES OVNI)

This document is a declassified intelligence assessment from the Spanish Air Force (Ejército del Aire), specifically the Mando Operativo Aéreo, dated June 27, 1997. It compiles and reviews three previously classified UFO incident files: 690124, 690402, and 750101. The document serves as a summary of supplementary information recovered from the Air Force correspondence archives. The first incident (690124) from January 24, 1969, includes a witness drawing. The second (690402) from April 2, 1969, references a request from the Chief of the Air Staff (JEMA) to the First Air Region regarding the opening of an investigation, though no record of such an investigation exists. The third incident (750101) occurred on January 1, 1975, near Burgos. Four soldiers returning from leave reported seeing a yellowish-white light shaped like an inverted bell, which subsequently split into three lights. The investigating officer for the 1975 case expressed skepticism, noting the ambiguity of the report and the observers' circumstances, suggesting they may have mistaken high-voltage power lines reflecting on the snow for an anomalous phenomenon. The assessment concludes that there is no longer any reason to maintain the 'Classified Material' status for these files, and they are officially declassified.
