Turquoise UFOs Shaped Like 45-Gallon Drums

On the night of January 20, 1969, Erik Marsboll, a 44-year-old truck driver employed by Mt. Nansen Mines, observed two distinct sets of unidentified aerial phenomena while driving near Carmacks, Yukon Territory. The first encounter occurred at mile 5 of the mine's road, where Marsboll observed two objects described as having the size and shape of 45-gallon drums. These objects exhibited a light blue to turquoise coloration and a brightness that the witness noted exceeded that of a 19-candle power light. During this initial sighting, which lasted approximately two to three minutes, the objects were observed hovering over a valley about one mile from the ground and twenty miles from the witness's position, emitting beams of light of the same color but lower intensity than the objects themselves. Later, at mile 15 of the same road, Marsboll observed a second group of four objects. These were described as having a similar appearance and were seen moving toward him in a line, spaced equidistantly. The objects then appeared to tighten their formation before merging into a single blue light and fading from view. This second sighting occurred at an altitude of approximately 500 feet and lasted for one minute. The atmospheric conditions at the time were reported as clear and dark.
