Chased By a UFO in Radium

This document details a UFO encounter experienced by 16-year-old Joanne Hammond in Radium, British Columbia, during the winter of 1969. While driving alone at night to visit friends, Hammond reported that an object approached her vehicle, flying directly toward the windshield before shooting upward and disappearing. The object subsequently reappeared, maneuvering near the driver's side window and pursuing her vehicle as she accelerated to 70 miles per hour. Hammond described the object as having a golden light that illuminated the interior of her car, reflecting in her rearview mirror. She characterized the object as solid and metallic, initially appearing round with a hump, but later appearing triangular with two wings and a six-inch tail. The pursuit lasted for one or two miles, ending when the object retreated upon approaching a group of pedestrians.
