Expediente Número 681219: Avistamiento de Fenómenos Extraños

This document is a declassified file (No. 681219) from the Spanish Air Force (Ejército del Aire) regarding a UFO sighting in Madrid on December 19, 1962. The file contains two primary testimonies. The first involves two brothers who observed a bright, star-shaped object with five points from their balcony, noting it had a yellow-green color and red lights on its sides. They reported that the object remained static before slowly descending. The second testimony comes from a witness who observed a static, intense white light while driving down Calle de Alcalá toward Cibeles. This witness observed the object for approximately 25 minutes. The investigating officer, after reviewing the accounts and meteorological data from the Barajas Observatory, concluded that the sightings were likely caused by the planet Venus. The report notes that the planet was exceptionally bright at the time and that the lack of moonlight, combined with local mist and cloud cover, created the visual effects described by the witnesses. The document includes sketches provided by the witnesses and confirms that the Escuadrón de Alerta y Control Num. 2 detected no significant radar traces during the time of the sightings.
