Nelson Family Sees Four UFOs

On the morning of Friday, January 5, 1968, a group of six individuals, including Mrs. Marilyn Horser, observed four unidentified aerial phenomena hovering above the CBC tower in Nelson, British Columbia. The witnesses monitored the objects for nearly an hour using binoculars. Mrs. Horser described the objects as having a flat bottom, a round top, and a green glow. Her husband reported observing flames emanating from the top of one object and cascading down its sides. The witnesses noted that the objects moved in a soundless, zig-zagging pattern across the dawn sky. In addition to the aerial objects, the witnesses reported the appearance of large white towers of cloud near the CBC tower that were not present at the start of the sighting. One of these clouds reportedly ascended vertically like a ruler, topped with a round blob, before disappearing after ten minutes. Mrs. Horser characterized the colors of the UFOs as predominantly red and green, though faint. A photograph, described as a photographer's interpretation based on witness descriptions, was associated with the report, though the document notes the copy was severely degraded.
