Not The Real Moon!

This document, published in the July 1958 issue of 'Saucers, Space & Science', details a sighting report submitted to the Vancouver Area Flying Saucer Club originating from North Burnaby, British Columbia. The witness, a club member, contacted the organization to inquire if their sighting was related to a previous report involving an object in Grahame Langton's backyard. The witness describes observing an object in the southern sky that appeared to be the full moon. They noted that the object was unusually low, very bright, and possessed a metallic appearance. The witness became intrigued when they observed a streaky cloud pass behind the object and emerge on the other side, a phenomenon they verified by moving to their front door. Although the witness initially dismissed the event as an optical illusion, they later reconsidered their conclusion after receiving a bulletin from the club, ultimately deciding that the object they observed was not the moon.
