Five Spheres Darting Above Saanich Inlet

On October 18 or 19, 1967, at approximately 10:45 a.m., Miss Mildred Sherrin and her sister were traveling by car on a ferry crossing Saanich Inlet from Brentwood to Mill Bay, British Columbia. While looking south-southwest, the two witnesses observed five spherical objects moving in and out of the clouds at high speeds. The objects appeared to be located to the east of Mount Finlayson and slightly further south. The witnesses described the objects as moving independently of one another. Three of the spheres were described as appearing like transparent glass with a bright light inside, while the remaining two were similar in appearance but contained a red light. The two red-lighted spheres were observed to be at a lower altitude than the three white-lighted ones. The objects were estimated to be smaller than a fingernail held at arm's length. The sighting lasted for approximately two minutes under overcast weather conditions before the objects suddenly disappeared into the clouds.
