UFO Keeps Date With Boys

In August 1967, in the town of Duncan on Vancouver Island, Canada, author Klaus Muenter and his wife, Peggy, witnessed an unidentified aerial phenomenon. Their 12-year-old son, Leif, and his friends had set up a tent on the lawn with the intention of watching for flying saucers. At approximately 11 p.m., Leif alerted his parents to an object in the sky. Upon exiting their home, the witnesses observed a pulsating light moving at a high speed from north to south. The object, which made no engine noise, reached a point directly above the observers before executing a sudden right-angle turn and accelerating toward the east, where it disappeared. The author notes that he observed the sky again the following night with binoculars, during which he saw a plane and a satellite, but the pulsating light appeared again, moving too fast to be focused upon. The author concludes that this experience provided him with tangible proof of the existence of unexplainable objects in the sky, reinforcing his belief that humanity is not alone in the universe.
