CANADA: Girl Terrified

On October 5, 1959, in the vicinity of Duncan, British Columbia, a 14-year-old girl named Gaynor Wilson was riding a horse in a field when she encountered a mysterious object hovering above her. The object was described as being exceptionally bright, casting light upon the ground. Terrified by the encounter, the girl returned home, where her father, identified as Wilson, was alerted by her cries. Upon rushing outside, the father also observed the phenomenon, describing the object as orange in color. He further noted that the object emitted a high-pitched hum that was painful to the ears. Wilson reported observing two of these objects in total. In his statement, Wilson expressed his inability to explain the nature of the objects, noting that others were similarly unable to provide an explanation. The report concludes with a remark from the editor of the publication, who suggests that despite a general reluctance to use the term, the objects were indeed flying saucers.
