This document is a Project 10073 record concerning a UFO sighting reported by a civilian in Springfield, Massachusetts. The sighting occurred on March 23, 1967, at 2231Z. The observer reported seeing two spherical, self-luminous objects that were colored red, yellow, blue, green, and purple. The observer described the objects as appearing small, then growing larger, before turning a light bluish-white and shrinking, leaving an exhaust-like trail while moving from West to Northwest. The observer estimated the speed at 900 mph and the duration of the observation at 12 minutes. The report notes that the case was not submitted to the authorities until January 29, 1968, nearly a year after the event. Consequently, the official conclusion reached by the Foreign Technology Division was that there was insufficient data for evaluation, as the delay made it too late to conduct a proper investigation.
