This document is a Project 10073 record detailing a civilian UFO sighting reported on January 24, 1967, in Denver, Colorado. The observer, a civilian woman, reported seeing a single, round, creamy-white object while looking out the windshield of her automobile. The object was described as having a dull, pulsating reddish light that flashed slowly on and off. The witness observed the object for approximately five minutes at an elevation of 45 or 50 degrees. The object did not disappear but remained stationary near Stapleton Airfield. The witness noted that the object veered slightly to the left during its flight path. The report indicates that the observer's attention was initially drawn by the object's speed and its pulsating red light, as well as the lack of sound. Weather conditions at the time were reported as mostly clear with some cloudy patches, a ceiling of 11,000 feet, and 20-mile visibility. The investigating officer, Major C.E. Vegin of the Operations Service Division, concluded that the sighting was likely an aircraft landing at the local airport, noting that the description was consistent with such an event.
