Project 10073 Record — Minneapolis, Minnesota, 5 Dec 66

This document consists of a Project 10073 record and a follow-up letter from Major Hector Quintanilla, Jr., Chief of Project Blue Book, dated January 23, 1967. The correspondence addresses a civilian witness in Minneapolis, Minnesota, regarding a UFO sighting reported on December 5, 1966. The witness had reported observing an unidentified flying object while walking through a deserted park approximately one month prior to their letter. The witness described the object as a large red light that moved in a direction like a square and then disappeared. The witness also mentioned a separate, earlier incident involving a string of orange lights seen in a field near a suburb. Major Quintanilla informed the witness that the data provided was insufficient for a meaningful evaluation and requested that the witness complete an enclosed FTD Form 164. The Major also noted that because the report was submitted at such a late date, a detailed study of the witness's other observations would be extremely difficult.
