UFO Follows Car

This document, sourced from the Castlegar News of British Columbia, Canada, and published in the November-December 1966 issue of FSR (Vol. 12, No. 6), details a UFO sighting that occurred on June 8, 1966. Three individuals—Paul Hadikin, Margaret Laktin, and Christine Poznecov—were driving south of the Castlegar Airport at 11:00 p.m. when they were followed by an oval-shaped object. The object was described as being approximately six feet in diameter, emitting a bluish glow, and featuring beams of light directed both upward and downward. It maintained a parallel course with the witnesses' vehicle at a speed of roughly 45 miles per hour, hovering approximately 10 feet above the power lines. The object was reported to be silent. After dropping off Miss Laktin, the object disappeared, only to reappear and continue following Mr. Hadikin's car until a second vehicle appeared on the road. While Mr. Hadikin claimed to observe two wings extending from the object's ends, the other witnesses did not corroborate this detail. Additionally, the report notes that an individual named L. V. Campbell observed a separate strange object around midnight, which displayed a bright light at one end and a duller light at the other.
