The witness, a woman, reported observing a light resembling a large star moving from slightly west of north toward the east between 10:00 PM and 11:30 PM. She noted that the object moved at a steady pace, did not appear to be closer than a star, and exhibited an erratic wobbly motion. She explicitly stated there was no sound associated with the object. The Air Force investigated the report, checking with the balloon control center at Holloman Air Force Base, though they were unable to identify a specific balloon.
