Project 10073 Record Card — Sacramento, California, August 19, 1952

On August 19, 1952, at 2030 PDT, an unidentified aerial object was observed in the skies over Sacramento, California. The sighting, which lasted for approximately three minutes, was reported by two women. The object was described as being orange in color and star-shaped. According to the report, the object was traveling at an estimated speed of 220 miles per hour and was heading west. The observers noted that the object made no sound during the encounter. The weather conditions at the time of the sighting were reported as clear. The observation was made visually from the ground. This incident was documented by the 28th OID and reported to the Air Technical Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, as well as other military commands, under the project designation Project 10073.
