This document collection pertains to a UFO sighting reported on February 29, 1968, in Wilmington, Delaware. A witness, identified as a woman, reported observing an object moving in an easterly direction directly above radio towers at approximately 2230 hours. The object was described as being at a low altitude and appearing to descend. The sighting lasted for approximately one minute. The report was documented by Msgt C.E. Buedey. The case was escalated through political channels, with the witness contacting Senator Williams, who subsequently referred the individual to Major Huppertz of the Senate Liaison Office. The Air Force, specifically the Office of Information and technical personnel at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, attempted to investigate the claim by requesting the original negatives and specific technical data regarding the camera, lens, and film used. Despite these efforts, the requested materials were never returned to the Air Force. Consequently, the official conclusion for the case was 'INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR EVALUATION' due to the lack of photographic evidence and follow-up information. Internal notes indicate that the witness had traveled to meet with military officials alongside Senator Williams.
