Project 10073 Record Card — Kent, England, 21 September 1952

This document is an Air Intelligence Information Report regarding a UFO sighting that occurred on 21 September 1952 in Margate, Kent, England. A civilian witness, who was fishing from the end of a jetty at approximately 2300 hours, reported observing four brightly illuminated, dinner-plate shaped objects. The objects were seen traveling in formation from East to West across the sky at a low angle. The report was initially received by the Royal Air Force and subsequently passed to the 436th Fighter Bomber Wing for investigation. Captain Russell L. Cameron, the Intelligence Officer, interviewed the witness and noted that the individual appeared to be a sensible and intelligent person. Despite the witness's initial report, he later expressed a desire not to be contacted further regarding the incident. Military authorities conducted follow-up inquiries in the surrounding area but were unable to find any corroborating reports or additional sightings. The weather conditions at the time were recorded as hazy with 5 miles of visibility and a wind direction of 350 degrees at 10 knots. The report concludes that no further information was available and the case remained unresolved.
