Dr. Hynek's Evaluations Extracted from Project Grudge Report

This document consists of two parts. The first page is a partially legible incident report (Incident #287) dated 12 September 1948, concerning a fireball sighting in Moffatt, Colorado, reported by a civilian. The second page is an index of incident reports evaluated by Dr. Hynek for the Project Grudge report. These incidents are categorized into three main groups: astronomical (high or low probability), non-astronomical but suggestive of other explanations (balloons, aircraft, rockets, flares, falling bodies, or miscellaneous phenomena like reflections and birds), and non-astronomical cases where no explanation is evident, further subdivided into those where a lack of evidence precludes explanation and those where the evidence suggests no explanation.
