The report notes that local investigators, including H.P. Schaffer, were unable to find conventional explanations for these formations. Schaffer eventually sought information through a mediumistic channel, which provided a message claiming the holes were the result of extraterrestrial activity related to the monitoring of Earth's environmental conditions.
