Correspondence Regarding Davidson Inquiries and Tape Evaluation

On March 6, a letter was received from Davidson inquiring whether a specific tape had been analyzed by the Air Technical Intelligence Center (ATIC) at Wright Field. The response provided to Davidson stated that the tape had been forwarded to the proper authorities for evaluation, but that no information regarding the results was available. Subsequently, a second letter dated March 19 was received from Davidson, in which he requested the address of the proper parties to make further inquiries, as he was not in a position to do so himself. The reply advised Davidson that the appropriate address for forwarding information concerning 'flying saucers' was the Air Technical Intelligence Center at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. It was later learned that Davidson did make inquiries at that location, but it is noted that he was apparently stalled by the personnel there.
