NUFORC Sightings Report: 12/1984

This document is a compilation of UFO sightings reported to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) during the month of December 1984. The report lists nine distinct incidents occurring between December 1 and December 27, 1984. The sightings span various international locations, including Australia, Canada, Chile, and multiple states within the United States. The reported phenomena vary significantly in description. On December 27, a bright red light was observed moving at supersonic speeds near a tropical storm cell in Australia. Other reports include a triangular formation of lights in Georgia, a hovering oval object in Alaska that produced a wind sound upon departure, and a yellowish sphere in Toronto that appeared and disappeared. In Santiago, Chile, a witness reported an object that changed from a single entity to multiple colorful objects before returning to a single object. A hiker in the Las Vegas desert reported seeing a piece of cellophane-like material in December 1984. Additional sightings include circular lights in Pennsylvania, a moving oval object in Washington, and a large, low-flying fireball in Alabama that appeared to have a tail and potentially crossed into Florida.
