NUFORC Sightings Report: 09/1960

This document is a compilation of seven UFO sighting reports recorded by the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) for the month of September 1960. The sightings occurred across various locations in the United States and Canada. On September 30, 1960, in Shelton, Connecticut, a silent, army-green, cylinder-shaped object resembling a bus was observed with windows but no lights. On September 15, 1960, in Barrhead, Alberta, Canada, a report relayed via HBCCUFO described a 'stop light' sitting in a grain field. Also on September 15, in Susanville, California, three craft were seen in formation at high altitude with constant lights, noted as distinct from aircraft running lights. On the same day in Seattle, Washington, a triple-disc sighting occurred prior to dusk, involving a light beam and possible healing. In Kingsport, Tennessee, on September 15, an orange, circular craft was observed drifting from east to west after sundown. On September 10, 1960, in Wichita, Kansas, an oval-shaped object was reported to have made a humming sound during takeoff. Finally, on September 5, 1960, in Buffalo, New York, an oval-shaped craft was observed performing precise movements while apparently observing a large tank-like structure.
