NUFORC Sightings Report: 03/1976

This document is a compilation of UFO sightings reported to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) during the month of March 1976. The report lists six distinct incidents across the United States. On March 26, 1976, an unknown shape was reported in Mt. Vernon, Indiana, associated with MADAR Event No. 8. On March 24, 1976, in Houston, Texas, witnesses reported a saucer-shaped object while walking to a store. On March 20, 1976, near Bennington, Vermont, a disk-shaped object was reported by a student and a companion. On March 17, 1976, in Los Angeles, California, a disk-shaped object was observed passing over the 134 freeway. On March 15, 1976, in Fountain, Colorado, a stationary lit object was seen hovering above trees. Finally, on March 15, 1976, in Pahokee, Florida, an oval-shaped object was observed performing complex maneuvers, including traveling south, pausing, and moving north before exiting the atmosphere, with the witness noting it resembled a shooting star.
