NUFORC Sightings Report: 02/1960

All four reported objects were described as having a 'cigar' shape. The first incident occurred on February 18, 1960, at 21:00 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on a full moonlit night while the witness was snowsledding. The second incident took place on February 1, 1960, at 23:18 in Elberton, Georgia, where an object approached from the Savannah River and hovered over a cotton field for approximately two minutes. The third incident, also on February 1, 1960, at 23:00 in Hartwell, Georgia, involved a report from a witness's father regarding a large cigar-shaped object in 'perfect flight'. The final incident occurred on February 1, 1960, at 22:15 in St. Paul, Minnesota, where a cigar-shaped UFO was observed gliding toward the earth at a 45-degree angle before disappearing into ground clutter.
