NUFORC Sightings Report: 01/1982

This document is a compilation of UFO sightings reported to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) during the month of January 1982. The report lists nine distinct incidents occurring between January 1st and January 20th, 1982. The sightings span various locations, including the United States (New Jersey, Virginia, California, New Mexico, North Carolina, and Texas), the United Kingdom (London and Newcastle), and Brazil. The objects reported vary in shape, including fireballs, rectangles, disks, spheres, lights, circles, and cylinders. Notable descriptions include a silent, fast-moving disk with a color-changing glow observed over an Army Training Base in Fort Lee, Virginia, and a spherical object sighted in broad daylight in London for 15 minutes. Other reports describe a rectangular object flying at tree height over Lake Stockholm, New Jersey, and a series of three equally spaced lights descending over the Edwards Air Force Base area in California. The report also notes a sighting of a reddish/orange vehicle on AR 41 near the Red River in Texas, and a cylinder-shaped object in Newcastle, UK, whose speed and flight path were described as being beyond the compensation of this planet.
