Office Memorandum: Flying Saucers Information Concerning

This document is an office memorandum dated March 22, 1950, from Guy Hottel, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Washington Field Office, to the Director of the FBI. The memorandum details information provided by an informant, identified as an investigator for the Air Forces. According to the informant, three circular flying saucers, each approximately 50 feet in diameter and featuring raised centers, were recovered in New Mexico. The report states that each craft contained three bodies of human shape, measuring approximately three feet tall, dressed in a metallic cloth of very fine texture. The bodies were described as being bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits worn by test pilots and speed flyers. The informant further suggested that the recovery of these objects in New Mexico was due to the presence of a high-powered government radar installation in the area, which allegedly interfered with the control mechanisms of the saucers. The memorandum concludes by noting that no further evaluation of this information was conducted by the assigned Special Agent.
