ALLEGED KIDNAPPINGS, AND OTHER MATTERS

This document, authored by Gordon Creighton, compiles several reports of UFO sightings and alleged encounters in Brazil during 1973 and 1974. The first account details a sighting in Catanduva on May 14, 1973, where the Correa family observed a dark, parachute-shaped object hovering at approximately 50 metres with a rocking motion. The object, which made a sound like a ventilator, was observed for five minutes before departing at high speed. A second report concerns José Nobre Uchôa, a farm labourer on the Belém-Brasília highway, who claimed he was stopped by two strange beings and subsequently run over by a car, an event he linked to his interest in flying saucers. A third report describes a metallic, disc-shaped object seen by a fisherman, Avelino Severiano Generosa, and others near Navegantes on June 18, 1974. The object hovered for six minutes before dropping into the sea, leaving only foam behind. Finally, the document mentions an incident in the State of Paraná where a couple was temporarily paralyzed by lights from a disc-shaped object, from which three beings emerged.
