The report details an incident involving four merchants traveling in a 'Kombi' van from Novo Hamburgo. According to the testimony of the primary witness, José Manuel Gonçalves Cáceres, their vehicle was suddenly suspended in the air by an object described as two inverted basins joined together, approximately 10 meters in diameter and 4 meters in height. The object, which appeared aluminized, hovered at a low altitude and projected a beam of light onto the van, causing all electrical systems and lights to fail. The witnesses reported hearing a sound similar to a high-rotation electric motor, such as a floor polisher or blender, and noted a strong smell of ozone. The object later moved toward the coast. The report includes a detailed questionnaire filled out by the witness, covering his personal background, the environmental conditions at the time of the sighting, and technical details of the object. Major Francisco Hirschmann Júnior, the investigating officer, interviewed the witnesses and concluded that the object appeared to be performing a power test using magnetic force.
