Objects Not Identified in the Parintins Region

This document consists of a confidential report from the Brazilian Ministry of the Navy (4th Naval District) to the 1st Regional Air Command, dated January 28, 1981. It details a sighting of unidentified aerial phenomena by the crew of the corvette 'MEARIM' on May 5, 1980. At 04:15 hours, while navigating the Amazon River between Vila Amazônia and the city of Parintins, the watch crew observed yellowish objects on the surface of the water. The report notes that these objects were not detected by radar and were only seen visually. The objects were initially stationary on the water, then moved, ascended from the center, and disappeared in opposite directions. Later, two objects were observed moving at high speed toward the city of Parintins. The crew noted that the objects did not produce any noise.
