Sighting Incident Report — Montes Claros, Brazil, January 3, 2001

This document is a formal sighting report filed with the Brazilian Aerospace Defense Command (COMDABRA) regarding an event that occurred on January 3, 2001, in Montes Claros, Minas Gerais. The witness, Vanda de Oliveira, reported observing multiple objects near the northwest sector of the local landing strip at approximately 21:30 Z. The objects were described as star-shaped, red in color, and approximately 50 centimeters in diameter. The witness reported that the objects were initially static at an altitude of about 1,000 meters before moving vertically toward the ground and disappearing rapidly.
