Ocorrência com Tráfego Hotel — Florianópolis, 07-05-2000

This document is a confidential sighting report filed with the Brazilian Ministry of Aeronautics (Defesa Aeroespacial Brasileira) regarding an event that occurred on May 7, 2000, in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. The witnesses reported observing six objects, described as elipsoid or cigar-shaped, comparable in size to a Boeing aircraft. The objects were colored yellow and white and were observed moving at high speed at an estimated altitude of 9,000 meters. The flight path was noted as being from north to south. The witnesses described the objects initially moving in an 'S' formation, followed by a maneuver, and later appearing as four objects moving in a straight line in a 'V' formation. During this time, two smaller objects were observed separating and rejoining the larger 'cigar-shaped' object. The observation lasted approximately ten minutes under clear weather conditions.
