ARGENTINA 25 May 1962 - COMMUNISTS APPEAL FOR POPULAR FRONT / UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS

On 21 May 1962, numerous witnesses observed a luminous body suspended over the city for several minutes before it disappeared. A local photographer reportedly captured two images of the object, which appeared as a luminous oval. The Cordoba Astronomical Observatory has requested public submissions of observations to determine if the phenomenon was a cluster of meteorites, an artificial satellite, or another cause. Additionally, a reporter for the newspaper NUEVA PROVINCIA photographed a luminous object crossing the heavens above Bahia Blanca; the reporter noted that the object stopped and changed course at the moment it was closest to the earth.
