The authors maintain a skeptical stance toward 'magical' or purely extraterrestrial explanations, preferring to treat UAP as a physical phenomenon that requires systematic, data-driven study. They conclude that while the phenomenon remains largely unexplained, the application of scientific methodology—including the use of computers for data analysis—is the only viable path forward for ufology to gain academic legitimacy.
