UFO Observation, 18-19 October 1967 — Corpus Christi and Robstown, Texas

This document collection details a series of UFO sightings reported by a civilian living between Corpus Christi and Robstown, Texas, on the nights of October 18 and 19, 1967. The witness described a large, light-bluish, cigar-shaped object, approximately 100 feet long, which appeared to have frosted windows. The witness reported that the object emitted a slight hum and caused her dog's hair to stand on end. The object was observed between 2000 and 2100 hours local time on both nights, reportedly moving in a semicircle and disappearing toward the Corpus Christi International Airport. The Foreign Technology Division (FTD) of the Air Force investigated the reports, contacting both the Corpus Christi Police Department and the Corpus Christi International Airport to verify if any unusual activity had been logged. Airport management confirmed that while there were numerous air operations during those hours, including air carriers and military flights, air traffic controllers observed nothing unusual. The FTD concluded that the information provided was insufficient for a scientific investigation and requested that the observer complete an FTD Form 164 to provide more detailed documentation. The observer failed to return the form.
