This document collection contains a series of Project 10073 records and associated Air Force incoming messages detailing multiple UFO sightings reported in the Corvallis, Oregon area during March 1967. The reports describe various objects, including a red and yellow object that appeared to sway, a reddish-orange object that appeared as a pyramid and seemed to fire rockets, and a bright round object that split into two. The Air Force investigations, conducted by the 26th Air Division, consistently concluded that these sightings were not of extraterrestrial origin. Explanations provided by the military investigators included astronomical observations, specifically the planet Mars, and the use of plastic bags with candles by local pranksters to simulate UFOs. The documents include detailed meteorological data, such as wind direction and temperature gradients, which were used to support the conclusion that the objects were likely man-made devices or natural phenomena.
