This document is a Project 10073 record and a subsequent Air Force staff message regarding a UFO sighting in Springfield, Missouri, on March 15, 1967. A 19-year-old female witness reported observing four objects with bright amber lights traveling from west to east. The observation lasted approximately three minutes. According to the report, two of the objects were waiting in the distance and disappeared as the other two approached. The witness was described as an average, reliable individual. Following the incident, Mr. Bill Davis of KICK Radio in Springfield contacted the 328th Fighter Wing, inquiring if the Air Force had received other reports, noting that the radio station and local police had received multiple calls regarding similar sightings. The Air Force investigation concluded that no evaluation could be made with the available information, though it noted the possibility of friendly aircraft operating in the area. Radar checks by the 30th Air Division confirmed there were no aircraft in the sector at the time of the sighting.
